At Peachtown we use the first part of each day to focus on Main Lesson units. These units run for about six weeks and alternate between science and social studies topics. In January we began our unit on Astronomy and have immersed ourselves in the topic during Main Lesson, with extension activities cropping up in Language Arts, Math, Music, STEAM and Art. One of the benefits of an integrated program like ours is that teachers and students have the time and space to coordinate and absorb topics in meaningful and memorable ways.
