Drama

Each year Peachtown engages in a school wide full scale dramatic production.  Every child participates in an on-stage role as well as every other level of production from a detailed study of the selected play in Language Arts class to set and costume design, publicity, make-up, and properties.  With an emphasis on learning the language of stage, the fundamentals of taking stage directions and character development, Peachtown students become competent stage actors.  Plays are carefully selected to challenge all actors to the extent possible.  Productions by other companies are viewed and compared as actors develop their parts.  Typical plays include A Mid-Summer Nights Dream, As You Like It, The Wizard of Oz, Wendy & Peter, The Wind in the Willows and The Twits.
